We are looking for an occupational therapist to start as soon as possible or by agreement.

As an occupational therapist in Arjeplog municipality, you will work together with the staff at the Health and Medical Care Unit to achieve safe and secure health and medical care within Home Care and Special Housing. You will have close collaboration with physiotherapists, nurses, unit managers, and nursing assistants. Together, we create quality of life and make a difference for people every day. As one of the largest municipalities in area, our workplace extends many miles into surrounding villages. No day is the same; all patients are unique.

The rehab team consists of two physiotherapists and two occupational therapists, so you will always have support from colleagues. We are a group that enjoys working together, and this is reflected in our daily work. We have recently moved to new premises, which also means that we have an exciting change process ahead of us within the organization that you can help influence.

As a licensed occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments and interventions as well as prescribing assistive devices. You will also initiate, guide, and educate staff and relatives so that the occupational therapy interventions are adapted to the individual's abilities and conditions, which requires flexibility and creativity. Collaboration with the Region may occur.

You will manage your daily work independently and often work in a team with someone from the rehab team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or who is currently studying in the final year of occupational therapy education. Experience in similar work is an advantage.

It is essential that you can work independently but also have the ability to collaborate with the care team around the patient. You need to be attentive and clear, as well as able to adapt your communication to the counterpart. We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and values a professional and friendly approach. In this position, it is crucial that you have a service-oriented attitude. A driver's license and computer skills are required.

You must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
